About the Archive

Studio Messina

Studio Messina was established in 1993 by Alicia Messina in New York City’s home textile hub. This archive represents nearly three decades of collection from a variety of sources. Those sources include Auction houses in Paris and London, antique shows, textile dealers, private collectors, estate sales, and flea markets across the country and overseas, creating an outstanding curated reference library of prints and patterns.

Studio Messina is best known for its well edited, timeless swatches of exotic florals, geometrics, conversationals, ethnic prints, botanicals, silk scarf prints, silk jacquards, and mid-century prints that are suitable for today’s more contemporary markets. The addition of Studio Messina to the Baxter Mill Studio archive creates a truly one-of-a-kind inspirational archive that represents design styles, art history, and influence from all around the world.
